November 2, 1974: George Harrison begins his first and only North American tour in Vancouver, B.C. in support of his Dark Horse album. Its the first time George has toured since the last Beatles tour in 1966. In fact, hes the first Beatle to tour as a solo artist. Throat problems curse him throughout the entire tour, and his changing and re-arranging of songs doesnt sit well with fans. The tour is so gut-wrenching that George practically gives up the idea of performing live as a solo artist. He wont tour the US ever again.(I Love it Loud! Today in Rock n Roll History)
