November 4th is coming fast, and I am trying with all my might to get to every household in Knox County. It isn’t easy. I have no outside funding at this point (because if I want to win the election, I will do it myself), and am juggling two full-time and four part-time jobs. It is imperative that the good people of Knox County get a new Clerk of the District Court elected this year. We cannot afford to pay the current official another four years just to “bolster” her retirement, while pushing her responsibilities off onto other offices within the courthouse. In the “real world”, not the “governmental world”, if someone cannot do their job any longer, they are relieved of their duties. I’m asking that you consider how hard you work for your living, and what an injustice it is that your tax dollars are being spent this way. I promise to reduce spending down as much as possible and end this insanity. If you support me, please spread the word. Please put political dogma and doctrine aside…partisanship has nothing to do with this job. Before we “straight-line” vote along party lines, let’s stop and look…another four years of the same person who made a career out of being a county employee, or an aspiring young professional who wants to “serve” the people of Knox County, not draw retirement off of them.
