November 8 NO MORE CONDEMNATION There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 8:1 It is very critical for every child of God to become fully convinced about the integrity of God’s word; because it is the foundation of a victorious Christian living. Some would argue that what the scripture says in Romans 8:1 was Paul’s opinion. Nothing can be farther than the truth! Paul was inspired by the Spirit of God to write this. Paul was saying what the Lord Jesus had already said when he said “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit” (Romans 8:1). This is exactly what the Spirit is saying even now. When He says there is no condemnation; He means no condemnation. The Lord Jesus had said previously: “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life” (John 5:24) Anyone who believes in Him will not come into condemnation. To believe in Him who sent the Lord Jesus is to believe that He (God) has raised Jesus from the dead. Just as Paul declared in Romans 10:9: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved”. Anyone who has confessed the lordship of Jesus and believed in his heart that God has raised Jesus from the dead will not come into condemnation. This is the new creation! There’s no condemnatory judgment for him. This new creation is a man in Christ; therefore, he cannot be condemned. He belongs to Christ; the Lord has paid the penalty for any sin he has committed and for sins he’s yet to commit. He has been made free in Christ. Never again will he be condemned. For his sake the Father vented all His anger on the Son at Calvary. This is the man the Lord referred to in John 5:24: “I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, the person whose ears are open to My words [who listens to My message] and believes and trusts in and clings to and relies on Him Who sent Me has (possesses now) eternal life. And he does not come into judgment [does not incur sentence of judgment, will not come under condemnation], but he has already passed over out of death into life” (Amplified). If you’re in Christ, blessed are you, because there is no condemnation for you. The Lord has justified you from all things. Acts 13:38-39 says “Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses” No more condemnation! Rejoice and be full of gratitude to God. Prayer I am in Christ justified from all things; never to be condemned. Halleluyah!
