Novim . . . . . .Government funded think tank for climate engineering . . . or as they put it: . . . . . History Novim was formed in late 2007 by a group of scientists and engineers associated with the Kavli Institute for Theoretical Physics at UC Santa Barbara. Christened Novim after the Russian idiom for “new,” its first study addressed the issues surrounding geo-engineering options for the remediation of global warming. Using methods based in part on those of the JASONs, an advisory group to the US government, Novims wide-ranging studies may enlist teams of physicists, biologists, environmental scientists, engineers, economists, statisticians and other specialists. Experts from all sides of Novim’s deliberately controversial subjects are chosen to ensure the broadest point of view. Its guiding principle from the beginning has been “We are only interested in the science.” . . .
