Journalist-author in digital environments: The production of journalist Eliane Brum for Época Magazine This article is based on two questions. Is there Literary Journalism production in the digital environment? And a literary journalist who works for the printed media would keep these characteristics when in digital environment? To investigate these issues we selected 51 columns written in 2010 by journalist Eliane Brum for the Revista Época website. In this corpus we identified the occurrence of five journalistic genres. Three belong to the conventional journalism – chronicles, reviews, and interviews (43 columns or 84% of total) and two to the literary journalism – personal essays and profiles – (eight columns or 16% of total). The result suggests that there was production in literary-journalistic style, though not predominant. The hypothesis is that it would take more time (the column is weekly) and funds to produce more material for the Internet with the same characteristics this author employs in print.
