Now, Blavatsky nor Lovecraft couldnt avail themselves of Nag Hammadi, because that discovery was late to them by decades. Blavatskys written not so much but enough about gnosis to have a status equivalent to Rand: perhaps male-dominated universities in a male-dominated field chaff at speculation by a woman. Whats true is Blavatskys influence was deeper outside of scholarship and in creative economy. And some would say she was presumptuous, speaking on fields that existed but whose authority had suffered a breach in time so that any exposition reconstituted a reality entire. From creative economy and not scholarship her idea of gnosis could be much more plastic.
