Now Hiring – National Technical Solutions Specialist – Menomonee Falls, WI - PMC85012 The National Technical Solutions Specialist primary role is to educate and assist Regional Field Service Trainers with an expert focus on Compact Equipment and Climate Technologies. This position will be the foremost expert in these product lines and operate on a national stage. The individual will add expert value to the products and increase market share by enhancing customer knowledge base. Strategically position during peak seasons to maintain our industry leading support and develop a new enhanced “Train the Trainer” program. Act as a role model position for all Regional Field Service Trainers to utilize in their ongoing product training. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Training and Dealer Development: • Trains FST positions on the newest technology for Compact Equipment and Climate Technology product groups in the field. • Conducts continuous FSF training on how to improve dealer operations by: • Identifying proper dealer parts utilization. • Detect and resolve customer excess in warranty and labor. • Contracted Dealer Development Strategy • Key role in the evaluation and selection of new contracted dealers. ◦Assists FST positions with customer training as needed during peak seasons. o Enhances all FSF skills by traveling and assisting with developing of new niche markets where strong technical knowledge is required for correct implementation of the product. o Encourages customers and service providers to attend training sessions at WNC in the VTC. o Implements consistency and promote the proactive training approach in the field training programs across all regions. Technical Support: • Assists WC and the FSF with machine issues and is prepared to travel on short notice to resolve technical issues. • Travels to geographical areas which demand peak season support for CE and CT products. • Assists Product Support when in house to provide technical support and product research. • Assists the CE and CT Service Representatives develop training for the Dealers and FSF. • Works with Engineering and Manufacturing to assist in product improvement based on knowledge obtained from field travel and customer feedback. Report Generation: • Prepares and submits informative, timely field training and service reports to Technical Services Manager, Americas. • Keeps the Technical Services Manager updated in a timely fashion on machine issues, customer feedback and quality/volume of field training. • Completes technical comparisons and our product advantage presentations as required by Technical Services Manager. Service Parts Sales: • Promotes the sale of specialty tools, service parts and accessories to meet corporate goal of minimizing equipment downtimes and maximizing dealers potential. • Assists with the Dealer Development Strategy by working with Regional FST to ensure proper spare parts stock and utilization is obtained by Contracted Dealers. • Ensures entire FSF is kept up to date on website navigation for functions such as warranty, equipment registration, parts look-up and all aspects of product post-sales support. Travel and Planning: • Establishes effective and efficient travel plans with primary and secondary objectives. • Coordinates the travel plans with the Technical Service Manager and Regional FSF to ensure planning and commitments are obtained to enhance Field Training Capabilities. Self - Development: • Stays current on all expert training standards, repair procedures, part changes, machine improvements and web changes. • Learns equipment through research, studying and hands on time in and out of the field. Complete training at the corporate level and training from European Lead Companies. • Maintain a lead “train the trainer” role and act as a role model for FST group. • Stays up to date on industry news and technical issues. Safety: • Performs all job functions is a safe manner and maintains safety awareness. • Reports known accidents, injuries and unsafe practices and/or conditions to supervisor. Qualifications: • An Associate’s Degree with emphasis in Hydraulics, HVAC, Engineering or related discipline. A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. • A minimum of three years of experience in advanced hydraulics associated to excavators, loaders or equivalent is preferred. Heating and air conditioning training on the HVAC theory a plus. • Working knowledge of hydraulics and electronics. • Ability to read schematics. • Excellent verbal, written and public speaking skills. • Proven track record of developing and implementing process improvements. • Strong problem solving skills. • Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. • Willingness and ability to travel internationally.
