Now I was sure I posted this already but Terri swears I didnt so here it is. (And my apologies if in fact I did!) Here’s yet another puppy tale to share with you… Basha our Bouvier liked to help out with the dishes by licking the dirty cutlery and plates in the dishwasher. I don’t know when or why she started this bad habit but she did and ever since it’s been almost impossible to get her to stop, as she’d sneak in when your back was turned. I was unloading the dishwasher one evening so there were only clean dishes in the rack. She came over to investigate and I immediately sent her away. I turned my back again and suddenly I heard this loud crash/scrape. I whipped back around and saw Basha freaking out, pulling this way and that to get away from the dish rack that was now caught on her collar. It was full of plates, sandwich plates and bowls. She was so panicked that she dragged it across half the length of the kitchen and then back around. Eventually the dish rack dislodged itself from her collar after which she promptly hid. Now this all took place within a couple of seconds, so there was no way I could have caught up with her to help disentangle her collar from it. The end result was utter chaos... Four broken dishes, all four wheels fell off the dish rack, several plates slid in one direction and a few bowls slid in another so when I found them later they were in opposite sides of the kitchen and to top it off Basha left us a gift in the middle of the kitchen floor. (She literally had the poop scared right out of her!) Poor Basha…She doesnt help us out with the dirty dishes anymore. LOL
