Now Im sure you could imagine shock factor when I walked in to my living room and saw that the anemone was ATTACHED to Crabbie! I flipped out because I didnt know if he was just chillin and catching a ride or whether he had attached himself to try to sting him to death! I knew I needed to separate them and the likelihood of me getting either stung by the anemone and/or pinched by Crabbie was high! So I threw on a glove to minimize any effects and got the job done! I stopped in the pet store to talk to my saltwater guy after dropping Blake at gymnastics and showed him the pics. He said it was likely that the anemone inadvertently floated over and attached to Crabbie and that he wouldnt be able to sting him through his shell. However, it is possible that he could suffocate him! Holy cow! Anemones are strange creatures and its difficult to see whats going on with them. The way they ball up/retract into almost nothing and then come out. And some times when the tentacles are completely limp, the thing seems lifeless. Hard to know if its getting enough microvert too the way it eats. :/ Hes a pain in the rear! Lol
