Now Ive had a chance to sober up a little Id like to thank some of the venue staff that helped make Saturdays works Christmas Do special. In particular I want to start by thanking three people. Firstly for preparing such a magnificent soup for the starter a big thank you must go to the Austrian Sous Chef Mr Heinz Fictzsoup. For delivering such a superb main course we congratulate the Head Chef affectionately known to all as Aunt Bessie and whose Yorkshire Puddings were so light and airy at times it was difficult to stop them blowing off the plate whenever anyone slammed the door to the Ladys Toilet and to finish the stuffing balls in a dusting of fine grit to contrast with the smooth dense filling was a pure touch of genius. Lastly but by no means leastly; For providing the third and final course, if you exclude the shot of Gaviscon we all took shortly after the meal, and for providing an excellent Cheese Cake credit must go to the Lithuanian Dessert Chefs Mr Azda Smat Prizse and Mr Tezco Valuepak. Id also like to thank the venue DJ who pushed his equipment to the limit and provided me with my first ever experience of ear drum bleed and also for his unique and individual style of actually been able to play two different tracks at the same time while projecting the impression that he had no idea this was really happening by dancing along to them, just amazing. I must also thank The Restoration of King Charles II Re-enactment Society for providing the turn/entertainment which was actually not too bad. Finally though, genuinely and quite sincerely I would like to thank everyone on our table who, despite all of the above, helped make this one of the best Christmas Does weve had. I really enjoyed the night.
