Now I’m beginning to figure out what has happened. We (the men folk) have let women lay down the broom and leave the kitchen. They’ve gone off to college and “proved” that they are smarter than us (as judged by those unchallenged scores, IQ curves, etc..) and are threatening our classical position of superiority. Not one in a hundred has ever made a quilt; dressed a possum; or fed the hogs; and half of them can’t even cook unless you take it out of the box and ‘nuke’ it. We were hurting so bad we had to invent the charcoal grill, and learn not to burn stuff over that primitive heat . . . just to survive! We developed a love for deer hunting, fishing, and sometimes, even golf just to reduce the pain of having to sit at nights and watch them balance their books, develop new contacts for those ‘hoop-tee-doo’ contracts that brings in more money than we can ever dream of. We’re in trouble guys. We need to step out somehow beyond the charcoal grill in order to gain back our fame and superiority. Anybody know how to thread a bobbin ... or the difference between ‘knit’ and ‘purl’ ?? I don’t think we’re ever gonna get ‘em back in the kitchen again.
