Now a days nawaz league is misguiding people specially youngsters through media ( tv channels, news papers , so called columnist, purchased anchor persons) about the past of Nawaz sharif and PML (N) performance in past, and present punjab govt. so its necessary to inform people, and youth who were children 13 years ago when Nawaz Sharif was prime minister. Although a lot can be written on this topic. But I shall try to point out some important things briefly. 1.......Nawaz sharif started his career in politics in 80s from Tehreek e istaqlaal of air marshal Asgar Khan. But sooner he realised that he can not come in power if he lived in this party. So he decided to go under the umbrella of army marshal law govt of Zia Ul Haq. So he became adopted son of general Zia . And general Jillani , governor of Punjab that time kept hand on the head of this SYASI YATEEM. He was appointed finance minister of punjab immediately. , while he had no background, knowledge, skill or experience in finance. His only capability was , that he was proving to be a good army puppet in future. Viewing his good performance as puppet minister, he was promoted as chief minister of Punjab . He was totally in control and obedience of army generals, and implemented General Zias policies happily. Even once he took general Zia to make speech in Punjab assembly in UNIFORM. 2........ After sudden death of General Zia in 1988 , Nawaz sharif was again orphan (SYASI YATEEM). Now to compete with PPP party , establishment ordered ISI chief that time,General Hameed Gul to make Islamic Democratic Alliance( IJI) . For this purpose different parties were brought together under the umbrella of IJI, like Muslim league, functional league, jamat e islami , ANP , MQM and some other parties too. And for bringing them together billions of rupees at that time were distributed in different parties and leaders including Nawaz Sharif ( keep in mind at that time one US dollar was equal to about 12 rupees) . And Nawaz Sharif was appointed leader of IJI by the estsblishment. So Nawaz sharif promised in his campaign to carry forward General Zias legacy, his mission and vision. So as result of 1988 election PPP made fedral government , and IJI made Punjab government. 3.......... In 1999 nawaz sharif launched a NO Confidence move against PPP Benazir govt , with the help and support of army and establishment. For this purpose money was gathered from bank. Mehran Bank ( Younus Habib was incharge of bank) scandal , famous in media now a days was related to this. Billion of rupees and hundreds of land plots in posh areas of Lahore were divided among politicians, to make No Confidence move successful. Even it is famous that Osama Bin Ladin also provided money for this purpose. 4.........In 1991 president Gulam Ishaq broke Benazir Bhutto PPP govt on corruption and mis-management allegations. and as a result of fresh elections Nawaz Sharif became prime minister of Pakistan ( ppp alleged poll rigging, and establishment support in election for Nawaz sharif). 5........ In his govt nawaz sharif and his family expanded their family business a lot. They took loan from banks at very low or no interest in billion of rupees , and this loan was either rescheduled, or written off. And Sharif family became richer and richer. From one mill to many mills, factories, lands,and businesses. And now they have more than 29 mills and factories, hundreds of acres of land, jiants in poultry , sugar and other business. 6.......... In his first term Nawaz sharif started motorway project from Lahore to Islamabad . And the distance from Lahore to islamabad was increased from 300 km to 400 km. and this motorway was moved from the lands of nawaz league leaders, and friends. Just to make their lands costly. And because of this 100km extra distance , billion of dollars extra oil , fuel is wasted. And one other draw back is that some of its area is in salt range, while no country allows motorways in salt range, and also that some of its area is in high mountains, where long trallers cant climb . So its useless for them and business transport. Nawaz sharif is alleged by famous American writer , for taking commission of about 300 million dollars , from the company who made motorway . 7............ Nawaz sharif biggest failed project was Yellow Cab Taxi . Thousand of cars, vans , and buses were imported , and they were of low quality , compared to the usual cars of same company. This scheme failed badly. And banks lost billion of rupees in this taxi scheme. 8........ Nawaz sharif tried to have control over judiciary , army and president powers , and interfered in these institutions internal affairs wrongly with out authority, rules or regulation. 9........ In 1997 , Nawaz Sharif second term started with two third majority in national assembly. He again started try to have control over all institutions unconstitutionally. First of all he fought with judiciary, supreme court Chief justice Sajjad Ali Shah over authority, and when a decision was expected against him in supreme court, Nawaz league ordered his party workers to attack on supreme court at the time of decision. They did it, and judges had to run away from court room to save their lives. And after all this justice Sajjad Ali resigned as chief justice. 10........ Now nawaz sharif interfered wrongly in army appointments and other internal affairs wrongly, just to have control on every thing. At last he dismissed army chief at that time General Jahangir Karamat, and appointed general Pervaiz Musharraf as new army chief , giving priority over three other senior generals wrongly against rules. While it was right of general Ali Qoli Khan on seniority basis. 11......... Kargill war fought during Nawaz sharif second term, and this blunder damaged Pakistan image in whole world . Nawaz sharif alleged Musharraf, that he did not tell him about Kargil adventure. If so then why nawaz sharif did not court marshalled Musharraf? Because of this relations between nawaz sharif and Musharraf were damaged a lot . And just to make Musharraf happy, nawaz sharif extended the term of parvez Musharraf as army chief for one year more, While it has ended in 1999. But things went more against him. So nawaz sharif sent his brother shahbaz sharif to America , to help him against army. This was a big crime, and totally unconstitutional. It resulted at last in army marshall law. 12....... Nawaz sharif also tried to bring SHARIAT BILL on the basis of his two third majority. He wanted to be a king with all authority in his hands . In this bill all the control was given in hands of the prime minister. His order would be considered as law, with out approval from parliment or other institutions, as was done in old centuries kingdoms. And because of this many leaders of Pml(N) itself got angry at him,and left him. 13........ When in 1998 India did atomic blasts, there was a huge pressure from media , important leaders, and officers, and Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan on PAK govt to reply this. As Dr Qadeer told later that Nawaz sharif was not willing to reply this. But because of pressure he decided to do atomic blasts. 14...........immediately after blasts Nawaz Sharif seized foreign currency accounts in Pakistan . And before doing this he, his family, and close friends and leaders shifted billion of dollars out of Pakistan that night. This freezing of foreign currency accounts damaged Pakistans image in the mind of investors a lot . And because of this foolish move of Nawaz Sharif , for years investors did not came Pakistan . And Pakistan economy was damaged badly. Foreign Investment fell down to lowest level, foreign exchange reserves were dropped under 1 billion dollars, some newspapers said upto 48 million dollars. Pakistan was near to bank ruptacy. GDP also dropped down to its lowest level at that time. 15........at last Pervaiz Musharraf had control government in army control. And Nawaz Sharif was so much unpopular at that time , that no one came out in his favour. Instead people showed their happiness, and tons of sweets were distributed that day for getting rid off Nawaz Sharif. 16...........After arrest Nawaz sharif was kept in Attock fort, and he was punished life sentence from one court. But he could not face the difficulties of jail for even two years. He cried, and wept in jail. Famous journalist majeed nizami went to meet him in jail, and advised him to stay calm, and told Nawaz that if he stayed few years in jail, he will appear as great leader. But nawaz sharif not agree for it. He complained about mosquitoes, food, bed and , facilitiesetc. in jail. 17........ Then the movement under the leadership of Javid hashmi and Kalsoom nawaz Sharif started for nawaz freedom. During this Javid Hashmi and some other top leaders of Pml(N) were arrested, and were badly tortured in jail. These main leaders were facing torture in jail , and the news came one night , that nawaz sharif has asked for pardon from Musharraf, and Musharraf allowed it on a ten year exile to Saudi Arab contract. So Nawaz Sharif left his hundred of loyal workers alone, facing torture and other difficulties from Musharrah govt. Nawaz sharif went with all of sharif family, and assets, and even servants and cook , to Saudi Arab. And he enjoyed life there in Saroor Palace with family. And started new factories there with their billion of rupees sent through money laundring.
