Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1 I have been thinking a lot today about faith, about why faith wavers, why some peoples faith seems stronger than mine, you know that kind of thing. I can relate to the father in Mark 9:24 who told Jesus, “I do believe, help me with my unbelief.” I know exactly how the man feels because I am there too. Living on a mountain top is impossible because on the other side of the mountain is another valley so when I hit that valley I have to pray to God to keep my faith high and my heart focused on him so I do not lose my way. Faith is not a feeling...you choose to have faith. You choose to take God at his word and rely on him to take you to the end just as he promised to. God, to me, has a long history of taking care of me in spite of myself and carrying me when I cant go on. Based on his history I can have complete confidence in him to keep me to the end. You know, I don’t always know his complete plan but I do have faith that his plan is the best plan for me. I do have faith though I wish it were stronger. I do not everything but I know enough. I know that he saved me in spite of myself. I know that he restored me though I did not deserve it. I know that he has given me a future that I am excited about. Thank you Father for your love
