Now, for SOME of the items on Rachelles list of topics to cover. Re: how often should you change the water in your DOGS bowl: it is reasonable to expect that your pets would enjoy a fresh bowl of water everyday, however sometimes people get very busy and are not able to change the water, or it just doesnt cross their mind to change the water, so I feel confident saying that if there are gross floaties in your pets water bowl (mainly for dogs) then you should change it. This becomes particularly difficult during droughts for those of us that have water dogs that always find a way to get themselves wet on hot days, usually by climbing in the water container or knocking it over. I change ours when it looks dirty, which is usually every 2-3 days. I keep a black rubber livestock container that they cant knock over and keep it filled 1/3 to halfway, that way Im not constantly wasting water.
