Now for my story about a good teacher. Ive had many of those but their was one speciali one iny senior year when I went to Dundee high school who impacted my life forever. Her name was Bonnie Nash and she was my Romantic English poetry teacher at 745 every morning teachers very favorite subject, the first day I saw her I tough she was a student aide writing goings on the board for the teacher on her little mini skirt and boots long blonde hair down to her waist but she never say down and all the boys were do excited the guidance counselor made them sign up for her class ! I loved her from the start . Just the way she read poetry made you love it more. One of our first assignments was to write an essay about one of the poets . I dont even remember if but I do remember what she did. After she had read all the essays she decided she really liked mine. Okay so most teachers write on your paper good job! Excellent I can tell you put Lot of effort into this. Shows Lot of depth, good insight to the characters. But Bonnie decided that wasnt good enough being the kind of teacher she was so she looked up my address And drove to my house. I was working that night at the Dundee library on the childrens department ahhhhhhhhhhbhhhhh I got to do story story time does that surprize anybody? I was putting books back when in walks my drop dead beautiful teacher and Im thinking am I in trouble I said how did you know I would be here ? You went to my house? What???????? She said I read your essay and it amazed me and honored me to read it and I wrote a poem for you! I just stood there staring at her she handed me a piece of onion skin paper rolled like a scroll and tied with a piece of leather we were such hippies . I opened it and it said something about wanting to cradles mind forever in sweet lullaby s and never let coldness harm me . I was speechless and overwhelmed and in awe of her and thinking oh no how am I going to do this all year!but she truly. was an inspiration and she used to come to our house for dinner all the time. Her family was all in Minnesota and she had just graduated and left home . I used to sleep over at her hours on weekends and she started coming to church with our . when bob and i got married . family. She went on some church retreats with us and had long discussions with my dad about Christianity
