Now heres something that always intrigued me, Shireens song from Season 3, Episode 5s credits. When I first heard it I was pretty much just silent throughout the whole thing. Kerry Ingram has a very lovely singing voice, especially with no instrumentals. However the fact theres no instrumentals is also what makes this song...very unsettling, first time I heard it watching the show with the lights off and in an empty house. Even more unsettling is, Shireens song is very similar to Patchfaces ramblings which more or less are prophecies. Now I found there is some definite meanings to lyrics in Shireens songs and here Ill share what I believe they allude to * Its always summer under the sea, I know I know, oh oh oh (Drowned Men going through baptism and being reborn hence theyve seen the halls of the drowned god which for them would be as good as Summer. Or perhaps this alludes to the seas surrounding Old Valyria which are said to be cursed) * The birds have scales (Danys dragons most certainly) * And the fish take wing (Lysa Arryns death via the Moon Door) The rain is dry (This one is harder to determine. Some believe it may be dragon fire raining down from the sky, but I think this might allude to the Red Wedding, as in The Rains of Castamere and the theme of blood being moist, but then drying) And the snow falls up (Another hard one to understand. I think it could either mean Jon Snow rising to become Lord Commander of the Nights Watch or maybe rising after his brothers betray him OR, Ramsay Snow becoming a Bolton) The stones crack open (I think this alludes to the prophecy that the dragon statues on Dragonstone will come to life The Water burns (Could easily be the Battle of BlackWater or perhaps the waters of Old Valyaria again) The shadows come to dance (Renly Baratheons death by Shadow Assassin) My love (Melisandre and how she views Rhollor OR Melisandre and Stannis Baratheon) The shadows come to stay (Could very likely be the Others coming to Westeros and staying meaning, they kill everyone *shiver*) What do you all this? You agree with my thoughts or do you have your own theories? -Raimundus Rex
