Now, in case you werent paying attention in civics class during your school years, our Federal government is split into three branches: legislative, judicial, and executive. Each of these branches has a specific job to do that does not overlap with the other two branches. The legislative branch makes the laws. The judicial branch determines whether the laws are legal when challenged. The executive branch’s job is to enforce or implement, i.e. execute, the laws. How they choose to enforce or implement the laws is their choice. Whether they get to enforce or implement a law is not their choice. Unless your name is Barack Obama.
