Now is not the time to point fingers or assess blame. Now is the time to work together -- to encourage global bayanihan -- to get assistance to those that really need it, and to do that in the context of understanding past failures and successes. Like my Filipino friends, I am an optimist at heart, and it is hard not to see a better future in the smiles I saw on the children of Leyte and Samar, children who have experienced more tragedy in their young lives than most of us do in a lifetime. Other countries choose to focus on coming up rebuilding and rehabilitation plans willingly putting great amount of money and sending their precious volunteers to help Philippines recover. In my own opinion, we are going to hugely disappoint them if we Filipinos here or abroad will waste time to spread hopelessness by saying or posting nasty things against our government during this crucial time. Yes some of them need a lot of seriousness in doing public service but we also sin if we dont pray for them and especially if we criticize them without contributing solutions ourselves. As we clam to be a CHRISTIAN NATION, lets give God a chance to display His HEALING POWER over OUR land by simply obeying Him in our own lives, families, and areas of assignment. Praying for our leaders is another command so needed to be obeyed at this time. If we invoke God into their lives and their offices, WISDOM, LOVE, COUNSEL, POWER, REVELATION and MIGHT will fill their hearts and minds. They will come up with good plans too! WORDS HAVE POWER! GOD HONORS THOSE WHO USE HIS NAME TO SPEAK LIFE and HEALING! BREAKTHROUGH PHILIPPINES, IN JESUS NAME!
