Now is the time to walk in a greater professionalism. Insecure people in church look for titles to receive power. Power in ministry does not come through titles but relationship. Relationships versus Authority: Bishopric deals with authority. Yet, you will get more accomplished through relationship than authority. Relationship: a connection, association or involvement; connection between persons by blood or marriage We have relationship with one another in Christ through the shedding of his blood and the bonds of covenant. True relationship yields influence and power. When your influence grows it means you have fertile ground to build and bond new relationships. A pastoral anointing is more about relationship than authority. You weren’t called to pastor unsaved souls but saved souls that you have relationship with. You must be an example to whomever you have relationship with. A true pastor establishes and maintains relationship with the sheep. In ministry, your greatest currency is relationship and relationship trumps authority. People who are looking for authority will seek to build a new culture and will challenge the status quo. These souls may struggle with simple issues of decorum. When someone walks in a position of authority it’s rooted in a need or demand for respect from others. You may be able to build respect through authority but never true relationship. When you’re dealing with authority you’re dealing with rebuke or the power in the word. Moving in authority can produce conflict and warfare. People who are focused on authority want others to discern and recognize their gifts. They strive with those who have relationship. What causes people to have relationship with YHWH is what He has sacrificed and not so much what He can give. (Eg: when Yahshua fed the 5000, he told them that they only followed him because he fed them and not out of a desire for relationship/love). Your relationship with YHWH must be rooted in your love for Him and the desire for covenant. You cannot build relationship by simply meeting a need but relationship must be established first, otherwise the person develops a co-dependency. Business, however, is about give and take (i.e., its transactional)—and give and take is about authority and not relationship. The majority of people who teach and preach kingdom are more concerned with authority and business. People who teach relationship, however, understand it is all about love. Relationship will not necessarily make a church rich or prosperous financially. Why? Because people sometimes seek to take advantage of relationships when they know that you love them. Rather, relationship breeds oneness and a sense of unity. What gives relationships the greatest strength is love. People who are truly in relationship understand it is not about give and take. True relationship is not transactional. The power of ministry comes through relationship and relationship comes through love and knowing people care. Regardless if people come for relationship or authority, recognize YHWH has sent them. The goal is always to win people through relationship. You can never force someone to walk in their ministry or vision. When you can see the vision it means the vision has value so much so you become a shareholder of that vision and desire to be part of the blessing. People who seek to avoid judgment look for a word that appeases instead of one that edifies. Every covenant falls apart in silence. When YHWH appears silent towards His people, there is judgment. Covenant and blood are binding. When you find yourself becoming upset with people you have relationship with, recognize there is error in this midst. You must first check your heart. When you backslide, the first thing that is lost is your relationship with YHWH, then your relationship with your mate and family. #Bishop
