Now let me say this, in noooo way do I think Im better than anyone else. Im forever learning. But being a makeup artist is soooo much more than applying makeup. If you truly have a passion and a heart for enhancing beauty, go for it!! But if all youre thinking about is making a quick dollar, please dont. Ive done makeup for people with cystic acne, hyperpigmentation, cancer, and everything else you could think of. When they look in the mirror, its makes me nervous because Im afraid that what they see, they may not like. But there is nothing better than taking a person with low self-esteem and having the opportunity of painting their face, and building them up with words of encouragement and reassuring them how beautiful they truly are before the brush even touches their face. I grew up extremely insecure and turned to makeup me feel beautiful. I had to learn to use it as an accessory and not a necessity.
