Now more often than not, I am normally taking the piss out of something or someone on Facebook, time for me to don my Mr Serious hat now. I have heard a million plus times over the course of my naval career that it is the people that make it all worthwhile. Today the Anzac Frigate group fare welled Commander Phil Bell who is retiring after 41.5 years of loyal and dedicated service. So my Captain said lets do something special for him, so we threw the hat around so that he and his lovely wife could have lunch at a lovely winery. The whites and medals were dusted off for us to farewell him and the look on Commander Bells face was priceless and he was humbled by the experience. Another of the many people whose example that I do my best to follow on a daily basis. All the very best in retirement to Phil and Wendy Bell.
