Now that graduation day has come and gone I am feeling so humbled and blessed that Cayla has had such an amazing group of intelligent and talented friends! Most of whom she has been friends with since arriving at Lavilla in the 7th grade. I know you will all be successful in your own unique way! I am so proud of all you!! I also want to thank all the very special people that have helped Cayla achieve her dreams! My dear friend Ellen Smith for inspiring Cayla to play the cello, the talented cellist (JSO) Laurie Casseday for giving her such a strong foundation, Carol and Brian Griffin for encouraging and challenging her through her middle school and high school years and Dr. Nick Curry cello professor at UNF. Dr. Curry words can not describe our gratitude! Not only are you a fabulous cellist but your energy and dedication to your students is incredible! You opened the door for Cayla to have life changing opportunities. Introducing her to crazy good cellist through master classes, music festivals, cello seminars and even sneaking a few private lessons in there! Always pushing her out of her comfort zone. All this paying off with a wonderful music scholarship! Thank you for being such awesome mentor and teacher ! You will be so missed next year!! But... you have prepared Cayla to start her next adventure with Professor Jesselson at USC!! I wont be surprised if you get a few tx messages or even a few phone calls through out next year!! So proud of our daughter! Poor Carson will now have my undivided attention!!
