Now that the holidays are near, the attacks on Christmas and Christianity are in full swing. People are beginning to complain about using the words Merry Christmas and the thought of Christmas trees at Christmas events are said to be offensive to some. In fact, now the proper term for a Christmas tree is Holiday tree. Cashiers at many retail stores are instructed to say Happy Holidays, and some people have even been fired for saying Merry Christmas. We have all heard these things and we all say they are ridiculous, yet we continue to allow it to happen. Why? Im going to be blunt here and if I offend, then too bad. Christians need to grow some balls! The fact that all this is happening is because the Christian community has allowed it to happen. They are too afraid of offending someone that they dont do anything about it. I am NOT ashamed to admit that I believe in God and Jesus Christ, are you? By not defending Christianity and allowing this to continue, arent you in fact denying Jesus Christ? Whether anyone likes it or not, the fact of the matter is, Christmas is a Christian Holiday, just as Ramadan is a Muslim Holiday and Hanukkah is a Jewish one. Trying to take the word Christmas out of Christmas is insanity! If you dont like Christmas fine, dont celebrate it, but if you tell me I cant celebrate my Christian Holiday as a Christian Holiday, then you can kiss my ass. I dont care if I offend anyone. As with too many things from the Bible, many Christians have taken the whole turn the other cheek thing out of context. Yes, turn the other cheek, but if your attacker keeps attacking and you do not defend yourself, then you are worse than they are. You are a coward. Stand up for your beliefs and dont let anyone make you feel ashamed for believing in God and Jesus Christ!! I will continue to celebrate Christmas as a Christian Holiday and I will continue to profess my belief in God. If you dont believe the same, that is fine, it is absolutely your right. However, if you try to attack me because of my faith, then you will have a fight on your hands. I am not ashamed, are you??
