Now that the surprises are over & I have been given the thumbs up... I can tell everyone. THANK YOU!!! to all of you who reached out to me Wednesday (especially) and since. Austin is fine!!!! but.... First thing Wednesday morning I get a phone call that he had been in a wreck... in a blizzard... over 1,300 miles away. This mama was STRESSED!!!!!!!!!! And I couldnt tell anyone, because of the reason he was over 1,3000 miles away. Austins best friend, Alex, was getting to come home after his stay in the military, and Alex wanted to surprise his dad and everyone else at home. Austin flew out to California. Him and Alex packed up and headed East. They were in New Mexico when they got rear-ended. Then the tow-truck got stuck. Then they were having trouble getting a rental. Finally, finally, FINALLY (because of a sweet woman on a new shift) they were able to get a rental. So they packed the rental and headed home... again. All this by 5 pm our time on Wednesday!!!!! All I know is I was StReSsEd to my limit Wednesday. There is nothing worse than knowing your child needs you and you cant get to them. Thank God the rest of the trip was uneventful! Although I was on pins and needles. I finally breathed easy when I saw them pull in the yard yesterday! So again, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to all of you who extended a smile, a sweet comment, or a hug Wednesday and since then. No one knew of the knot in my stomach or the feelings I was having. Wednesday was the day I really, really needed it. {{{HUGS}}} AND NOW MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!! My family (and extended family... Alex) is all home now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
