Now that we have so much money at our disposal, our narrow minded and outdated politicians must stop talking about autonomy and starting delivering services and build united PNG. These narrow minded politicians do not think about tomorrow. they only think about what they can be today. People must understand the breaking away from PNG is not a solution to non delivery of services. I say this because the strength of anyone country depend on its population as much as it depend on its resources. we need large population to defend our borders and to market our goods and services. Our leaders must be proud that we have done what westerners thought would impossible by uniting 800 plus different cultures into one umbrella called PNG. our leaders must at no cost allow outside influences that try to break PNG into tiny islands nations and prevent us from becoming a superpower in Melanesia and the Pacific. That influence is so hungry for power and wealth. It is also more selfish and wants to be the first in anything that anyone on earth can do or make it happen. That particular outside influence had successfully broke into pieces another superpower in the western world that used to be its rival. That influence is putting its eyes on any one nation that has the potential to become one and does all it can to dwarf and keep the small nations under its toes. after it had successfully crashed its rival in the western world and put under its toes, it moved into Asia broke into pieces our Asian Neighbor who was a promising superpower in Asia. That particular influence has recently intruded into the middle east in the last decades to satisfy its hunger foe wealth and has caused significant damage to the physical environment, the resources, human life and caused sufferings in the pretext of fighting for freedom. It has started to bite its true rival in Asia by trying to give recognition to that rivals industrial hub. What that particular influence does is, it put its eyes open to any emerging power that has the population, skilled people, resources ,etc and stick its nose in there and keep them into status quo. prevent nations from growing into a better place to live. its aim is to be the first in all aspect of a nationhood. Our Bougainville brothers and sisters, unties and uncles have been given the freedom to make a decision for themselves whether to remain as part of PNG or to become a nation of their own .One important thing Bougaunvilleans must have in mind when they cast their vote is how our fathers have managed to put together our 800 plus culturally diverse people of PNG into a single basket called PNG. Our father and grand fathers did what white men thought would be imposable. We must be proud of being a united Papua New Guinea. As Papua New Guineas, we bit the world. We did what others people in the world cannot do. Hence we must keep united and aim to be the super power, a giant and a leading industrialized nation in the Pacific. I can only hope that majority of Bougainvilleans vote NO come referendum so we remain united and continue to build our fragmented and culturally diverse society into a super power and giant in the pacific.
