Now that were settling down into married life, I wanted to put - TopicsExpress

Now that were settling down into married life, I wanted to put this out there. While marriage equality is important and Hava and I chose to get married (not choosing to is also perfectly reasonable), there are many other pressing issues at stake in the fight for LGBTQ+ rights. Not least of which is that upwards of 40% of homeless youth ID as LGBTQ+. It gets better, sure, including making the choice to be married, but that can be incredibly hard to see in the face of family rejection, homelessness, unemployment, discrimination, and the lack of many other basic human needs, which is a consistent and alarming problem faced by so many in the LGBTQ+ community. Please, if you are happy for us in our new marriage, also consider donating to one or more of the organizations Im linking below. Marriage equality only scratches the surface of the rights my LGBTQ+ community needs and is fighting for.
