Now the task of RECONCILIATION, RECONSTRUCTION AND RESTORATION. IT IS OWING OVER SIX BILLION NAIRA AND HAS DRAWN 60% OF A N50 BILLION BOND WITH NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT. IN OTHER WORDS THE STATE APART FROM BEING OVERBORROWED, HAS LITERALLY BEEN SOLD AND THE OWNERS ARE COMING FOR THEIR MONEYS WORTH SHORTLY. IT IS NOT ALL TOGETHER A HOPELESS SITUATION. ADAMAWA STATE IS VIABLE AND ONLY NEEDS MANAGEMENT IN ORDER TO BE REVIVED TO ITS LOST GLORY. ADAMAWA STATE INDIGENES MUST BE PREPARED TO MAKE SACRIFICES. THE BELIEF THAT HE WHO RULES OWNS THE TREASURY MONEY HAS BEEN OUR UNDOING. IT IS NOT SO AND THE ELITE NEED TO BE PROACTIVE ABOUT THE REALITY THAT ADAMAWA STATE CAN HARDLY EVEN PAY ITS WAGES. ENCOURAGING IS THE CHOICE OF PROFESSOR LIMAN TUKUR AS SECRETARY TO GOVERNMENT. HE BRINGS WITH HIM A RECORD OF DECENCY, SELFLESSNES AND A DOGGED COMMITTMENT TO PROPRIETY WHICH MEANS SERVICE DELIVERY WILL RETURN IMMEDIATELY. THIS IS NO EASY TASK BUT IF THE PEOPLE OF ADAMAWA ESCHEW BITTERNESS, ETHNIC AND RELIGIOUS BIGOTRY, THE STATE CAN OVERCOME. POLITICALLY At the moment there is jubilation across Adamawa state following the governors removal for diverse reasons. Deputy Speaker Kwamoti Laori had explained that 1. After the Acting Governor has served the three months constitutionally strike frame, an election will be conducted for the completion of the Nyako term. I am seeking interpretarion of this for I believe that whoever wins begins a new tenure.
