Now theyre trying to stop bus loads of YMCA children because there were children on a bus this candidate for Congress thought they must be migrant children ... so he was ready to get in the way of the bus. A reminder to all of us ... not every bus filled with children is a bus filled with Latino children who travelled thousands of miles to the United States thinking they were welcome to come across our borders because the traffickers and others convinced them to come even though such migration is not legal. And, not every bus filled with Latino children is filled with illegal migrants because we are blessed to have many Latino children living as citizens in every state of our great nation whose beacon in New Yorks harbor still proclaims: “Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”
