Now this is interesting; the cabal keeps on matching the Acting Governor stride for stride. As usual, the dethroned commissioners cant argue their case logically, so they spuriously appeal to religious sentimentalities; and in doing that they just succeeded in exposing the blatant bigotry of the person they pretend to protect. In an attempt to accuse the Acting Governor of religious bigotry, they stated that all the five commissioners - excluding the sixth, a Muslim who has formally tendered his resignation - that the Acting Governor had booted out of Suntais cabinet are Christians, but what they didnt tell us is how the number of Muslims in the Suntais cabinet was negligible. The truth is, there were not more than three Muslims in the cabinet; out of the thirteen commissioners and SSG that Suntai has appointed, only three are Muslims - which is the very antithesis of what the constitution prescribes in appointing commissioners. How Muslims were favoured against Christians with the seven commissioners (five Christians and two Muslims) that were not sacked by the Acting Governor at that time is what the cabal didnt tell us either. What did the cabal expect, by the way; did they expect Umar to sack five Muslims while there were not more than three Muslims in the cabinet? How could that be possible? Another fallacy they espoused is that all Muslim members in the House of Assembly aligned to Umar for an obvious reason. However, they hypocritically refused to reveal the religious identity of the seven members that aligned to the cabal. The truth is, all the seven members who are pro-cabal are Christians; while the group of sixteen members who are pro-Umar, and of course pro-Taraba, is a mixture of Muslims and Christians. One can now see clearly where the bigotry lies. Ultimately, the cabal has failed to clearly articulate a definite stand. Does it want the incapacitated Suntai - whom it fails woefully to prove his capability and fitness to resume office- to pilot the affairs of our dear state? Its palpably clear that the disconcerted commissioners aint happy that their shameless attempted coup detat, which was shrouded under the guise of returning the ailing Suntai to resume office, was successfully fended off by the state House of Assembly under the leadership of Late Haruna Tsokwa.
