Numbers alone, of course, do not tell an entire story, but I found this interesting all the same. Items of note: *Germany sits atop the World Order chart. Which is amusing, historically speaking. I suppose theyd also receive a Most Improved mark, if we were handing out report cards for the past century. *Spain is ranked #1 in Health & Well Being (Canada #3, US #7). Which makes sense in a country that takes two-three hour naps in the middle of the work day. *U.S. is ranked 114th (out of 125) in Intl Peace & Security. *Were also well behind many of our Western peers when it comes to science and technology, BUT were really good at reality television, so Im willing to call that one a wash. I also didnt see a Freedom and General Awesomeness index, but I guess thats because theyd just have to list the U.S. of A 125 times in a row, which some might consider to be a waste of time/redundant.
