Nurse called to prep me for my HIDA scan tomorrow. Conversation went as follows: Nurse: What questions do you have? Me: Uhm what should I expect this scan to be like? Nurse: Well youll be in a very tight space, and well inject you with some tracer chemicals and use a nuclear medicine scanner to watch it through your skin. Itll probably take a little over 2 hours, and we might possibly have to give you some morphine to make it through. Me: ....cool -.- She had a slightly more calm way of putting it, but this is basically what I gathered. ...so yeah tomorrow morning from 6-8am should be fun.
