Nutrition. Day 7: wheat based foods Wheat based foods contain gluten. Gluten can affect the body in several different ways. It can cause bloating, fatigue, contribute to pain and encourage mood swings. Now we are not saying to cut wheat completely out of your diet but considering to reduce the amounts you eat in one portion or throughout the day is something to strongly consider. You can buy gluten free products (be careful of their sugar and sodium content) or why not get your energy from other foods such as rice or couscous.
