Nutrition Team FAQ: What can you do if you arent prepared when its time to eat? Option #1: Weekly Routine - Pick one day per week (for most people Sundays usually work best) - Set aside a few hours to plan your food intake for the week. - Buy the foods and then prepare them for the week! This will take time, but remember you get out of it what you put in! Option #2: Daily Ritual - Head to your local market either before or after work to grab food. - Load up a big container (or 2) at the salad bar with the foods you need. - Gather up the food you have on hand & prep your meals for the day. - Steam some veggies, cut some fruit, mix some beans, or cook some grains, etc. - Just do this while your prepping meal #1 for the day since you were going to do so anyway! If that seems like too much work, you can try to set your alarm for about 30 minutes earlier each day and do a certain breakfast ritual. Option #3: If Routines and Rituals Dont Work For You - If your lifestyle allows, you could always hire someone to prepare your food for the week. - Or you can get all of your food from a healthy market that does the preparations for you. - Maybe even find a local restaurant that delivers. - For example, you can swing by Whole Foods and get 10 pre-made deli salads for lunch and dinner, a bunch of pre-cut and pre-washed veggies, fruits, and raw nut snacks. Just mix a protein shake for breakfast and youre set!
