O Benjamin esta gostando aprender Taekwon-Do. E um martial arte muito bom e a profesora dele e um campeao do mundo. Ela tem mais 6 alunos com autismo/aspergers quem esta black belt, 2nd Dan. Muito bom para crianca como Benjamin quem esta sofrindo bullying cada dia. I strongly recommend Taekwon-Do for children on the spectrum. It is a wonderful way to make friends, learn discipline, and improve on physical strength and coordination. Benjamin is very luck in that his coach is the world champion, 6th Dan, and she welcomes autistic children with open arms. In her own words she has noticed that they are particularly good at it as they like the emphasis on routines and repetition. She has around 6 autistic/aspergers and some of them have now got black belts and even 2 Dan. Many of them were like Benjamin and experienced bullying on a daily basis. Next week Benjamin will be graded for his yellow belt, and I cannot believe the transformation in him in regards to confidence and being less of a target for these bullies.
