O Death, where is your Sting Earlier on today my grandmother went to be with the Lord and as I sit here with tears in my eyes reflecting on life I am hopeful, not in the hope of anything of man but hoping in Him who does not waiver and who is faithful As I think of 1 Corinthians 15, Death where is your sting? Where is your victory? To the believer that is passed on, they are present with the Lord, as the bible says to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, quite frankly there is nothing comparable than to be with Christ. Then why does it hurt those of us left behind? I feel like I should be rejoicing, but yet I am not. I am ever grateful to God who allowed me one last time to be able to see her, speak with her, and hold her hand as she took her last breath. Life is fragile and in a moment can vanish, a week ago you could not tell me that today my grandmother would not have been here and yet today she is gone. In a week it will be 2 years since I lost my best friend in a freak accident, last week within 15- 20 minutes of me driving by a spot a guy had lost his life in a car accident. No one is promised tomorrow; if you die today do you have assurance of where you are going? Is there any doubt? If there is, please consider giving your life to Christ. He has already paid the price and is willing to give salvation for free, all you need to do is accept it. I have hope that I will see my grandmother again and though I will miss her till I see her again, I know she is chilling with Jesus Christ as I write this. I will be a mess for a minute, but I will take refuge in my Lord, and even though I am a mess, He comforts me, He wraps His loving arms around me and He tells me through His word it is all okay. I have perfect peace even though I am a mess, and in this I do not waiver - Jesus is King, my sovereign God. Psa 30:12 To the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks to You forever
