O Lord, if remorse for our sins is a repentance, then we, by Your might, are surely amongst the remorseful... O Lord, have mercy on our expatriations in this life, and (have mercy on us during) our tragedy upon death and (have mercy upon) our solitude in the grave and (have mercy upon) our loneliness in the hole and forgive what is concealed from the people of our (secretive bad) deeds and prolong for us what You veiled our (secret sins) with, and have mercy upon us when we are lying motionless on the (death) bed so that the beloved of our relatives surround us and grant us Your generosity when we are stretched on the funeral bath so that the righteous of our community may wash us and bestow your affection on us when we are being carried while our relatives hand over the extremities of our coffins and award us Your generosity when we are transported and finally delivered and left alone in our graves, and have mercy on our solitary confinements in this new residence so that we may not be comforted by anyone but YOU, O my Master!!! Ameen!
