O.k. So I found out I have Scabies (itch mite) but have no idea how I got it. I have never had itching like it--fire, pins and needles, claw yourself itching! It seems the little pin point spots are concentrated on my left arm but is also on my upper back, and neck and a few spots on my upper chest. It gets more itchy as the day goes on and topical creams of all kind didnt help. The treatment is a cream I had to rub in from scalp to the soles of my feet and leave on for 14 hours before showering it off tomorrow. One treatment usually does it, according to the package but it may require to if the spots oozed and crusted any. No one else in the family seems to have it yet and the cat isnt scratching (they can carry it in in their fur). It is supposed to be pretty contagious and the mites are almost invisible (possibly visible with a magnifying glass but usually a microscope is necessary) so I am to wash all linens and brushes and so forth in hot water to make sure none of the scabs or skin remains with mites attached.
