O woman,great is your faith!Let it be done for you as you wish(Mtt.15,28).If we were this Canaanite woman,I wonder how we would have reacted to the seeming rudeness of Christ to her:It is not right to take the food of the children and throw it to the dogs(Mtt.15,26).Prior to this,he ignored her,and his disciples requested that she be dismissed because she was constituting a nuissance.In the face of all these behaviors,the woman refused to be discouraged,but rather exhibited humility,perseverance,determination,fortitude and great faith to get help for her sick daughter.Besides,Christ gradually revealed in his approach that God is all inclusive,and not just the God of the Jews.Gods love and mercy is for all irrespective of race,language,status,gender and color.This all inclusive God challenges all who discriminate for whatever reason in granting favors.The great faith of the woman as acknowledged by Christ was rewarded.Our own faith can always be rewarded by God.May God reward your faith in him as I wish you all a very rewarding week in all your struggles in life.Amen.
