Joseph McBride CHARLESTON — Joseph Edward McBride, age 88, died Tuesday, Sept. 24, at Tallahatchie General Hospital. Doris Vernon CHARLESTON — Doris (Nell) Vernon, age 78, retired seamstress for Rosewood Manufacturing Co., died Thursday, Sept. 19, in Charleston. Funeral services were 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, at Charleston Church of God, where she was a member, with interment following in Friendship Church of God cemetery. Newsom Funeral Home had charge of arrangements. Anna Hill KILMICHAEL — Anna M. Hill, age 68, retired social worker, formerly of Charleston, died Monday, Sept. 30, at her home of heart failure. Funeral services were 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, at Kilmichael Baptist Church with interment following in Charleston Cemetery. Oliver Funeral Home of Winona had charge of arrangements.
