OBJECTION OVERRULED Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?” And the angel answered and said to her, “ The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God. (Luke 1:34-35) Whenever a picture of great accomplishment is revealed concerning us, the first temptation is to question the possibility and to cite a limitation to justify our objection. How can I live righteously having sinned so greatly against God? How can I build a business when I have no capital? How can I get a job without knowing a big person? How can I get married this year when no one seems to be coming close? In John 5, the man by the pool raised the same objection, how could he be healed when no one would help him enter the pool first? You may have your own limitations that have become the basis of your objection to whatever God has said concerning you. Gods response is that the Holy Spirit backed by supernatural power shall totally overshadow you. That means divine strength and enablement will rest upon your limited abilities and make them extraordinary. It shall be so spectacular and obvious that what shall ensue shall not be called an ordinary work of man but the doing of the Lord. May that be your story this year. Youre blessed indeed!
