OCTOBER 30, 2014 THURSDAY. Its 845pm. Just got back from a wedding of Justin Carlo Cortez (DBTC Alumnus) and Cherry Adriatico in the PARISH of the IMMACULATE HEART of MARY in HINULUGANG TAKTAK ANTIPOLO CITY. I was invited by Ylou & Joey Cortez, father of Justin and an alumnus himself. I was picked up by Miggy, the cousin of Justin @1230 for the long ride to ANTIPOLO. With traffic so unpredictable, it is always better to be early than stressed for the wedding scheduled @3pm. Fortunately, we arrived in good time which is always better than being harassed. We went first to PALOS VERDES EXECUTIVE VILLAGE, residence of the Cortez overlooking the whole of MetroManila. Beautiful view of the whole Metropolis from the top deck of the house (or better - building!) The wedding was held in the PARISH of the IMMACULATE HEART of MARY. 1st time. Open air church. Still under going construction and finishing touches, but good enough for the wedding celebration. Reception was held at the poolside of the residence of the Cortez in PALOS VERDES EXECUTIVE VILLAGE with a wonderful sunset view overlooking the whole of MetroManila and Laguna. I stayed a while for the reception (an exception…) which I dont ordinarily do because wedding celebrations today take forever with all the ceremonials, rites and pictorials. But since - Bosconian and the family is close to me - I did not accept any other invitation after the wedding and joined them for the reception. I went home 7pm, but arrived 830pm in DON BOSCO. Traffic was relatively light, but it took me still more than an hour and half to reach home. ------------------------------- PHILIPPINE RETIREMENT AUTHORITY (PRA) 0930-1130 I celebrated a Thanksgiving Mass for the PRA @ CITIBANK BLDG for the approval of their Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) filed since 2008, October celebrants and All Souls Day. Three in one. I did not join them for lunch. I wanted to get back to Don Bosco to get ready for my wedding in ANTIPOLO and they still had to get the buffet ready for lunch which I know would take time - so I just had lunch in DON BOSCO before I left for Antipolo.
