ODESSA DROWNING CALL: The following is a press release from OPD... On July 27, 2013 at approximately 1602 hours, Officers responded to 2735 East 8th St. (Southgate Apartments) in reference to a Drowning Victim. Investigators learned that a 4 year old Hispanic female was found unconscious and not breathing in the complex swimming pool. CPR was performed and the child was transported to Medical Center Hospital E.R., where she was treated by medical staff. The child was then transported to Lubbock’s Covenant Hospital in critical condition. This is being investigated as an accidental drowning. The investigation continues.
