As part of the Student Ambassador program, we, the Student Ambassador University of Tokyo team, will be holding a youth ministerial council meeting. The theme of the meeting will be “Resilient Economies and Inclusive Societies to generate jobs and growth, empower people and promote the well-being of our citizens – Coping with the Rising Inequality”. Participants are university/graduate students (ex: exchange students) and will be representing the 34 member states of the OECD, as well as the key partner countries (China, India, Indonesia, Brazil, and South Africa). One Japanese sherpa will be a partner of the each representatives. The theme was chosen with the actual ministerial council meeting in mind. The purpose of this event is to give an opportunity to students to discuss in a multinational atmosphere, and to proactively address the issue.
