OFFICE OF FAIR TRADING HAS NO PROBLEM WITH GAS PRICE HIKE (Proving once again it is what its chairman David Quirk MHK said when he first stood for election: It is a toothless tiger.) Prices may be rising, but the Office of Fair Trading says Manx Gas is acting responsibly. It was announced on Tuesday gas prices would be increasing by 2.9% per unit as of September 12. On average, that means more than £20 extra - per year, per user.
