OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT STATE HOUSE COMMUNICATIONS UNIT Full List of Donations Made on Tuesday 23rd September at State House toward the Fight Against Ebola Compiled by State House Communications Unit 1. Nigerian High Commission in Sierra Leone donated $30,000 (Thirty Thousand United States Dollars) as their contribution to sensitize teachers and provide Ebola sensitization kits for students 2. Mr. Klin donated the sum of Le 20,000,000 (Twenty Million Leones) to help fight the Ebola scourge 3. All Peoples Congress Women’s Wing UK & Northern Ireland Branch donated Le 40,000,000 (Forty Million Leones) as part of their aid to fight Ebola 4. Beyond Mining Explosive also donated 400 bags (50Kg) of rice to help contain the outbreak and lessen the burden on the government in terms of feeding quarantined houses across the country 5. Basharia Mission donated the sum of Le 21,000,000 (Twenty-One Million Leones) to help fight the Ebola outbreak 6. Sierra Leone Maritime Administration (SLMA) presented a cheque of Le 100,000,000 (One Hundred Million Leones) to boost government’s efforts to contain the Ebola epidemic 7. Sierra Leone Timber Association donated one hundred and eleven (111) Veronica buckets, 66 jerry cans and 740 Veronica taps to help contain the outbreak. Total for today’s donations is One Hundred and Eighty-One Million Leones (Le 181, 000,000). The Total donated in US dollars is $30,000 (Thirty Thousand United States Dollars). This is not an interpretation of the above donation in Leones as it’s a separate donation by the Nigerian High Commission. Please note that all donations made to the President are immediately handed over to a representative of the Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) which is the central command and control facility responsible for implementation of the national response plan to the outbreak.
