OFFICIAL MOVEMBER UPDATE!!! Well its official, we did it! We matched last years goal of $3200 and are now beyond it. I dont really know how to put it into words anymore. All I can do is thank ALL of you for your continued outpouring of support again this year. You always wonder if this year will be the year that things will taper off (Ive thought that for the last three!) but we continue to reach our goals and pass them year after year, and we have you to thank! Now, since I cant put it into words, lets crunch some numbers... This year, Canada has raised a whopping 24,320,907 dollars this month (UK is in second with 19M), now with 172,392 members nationally, thats approx. 141 dollars per person. Multiply that by the ten members in our group, and in order to have done our fair share we should have raised 1410 dollars.....PFFFFT! Because of your help, weve raised over twice our share. (Now this is only if my math is correct, which it normally isnt) So thank you, things like this are no possible with people like you, and I know that over the past five years, having raised over $8000 dollars for this, there has GOT to be some kind of impact. Know that if you donated, shared our video, so simply mentioned Movember to someone, that you were a big part of that impact. Before I close I just want to share some other success stories Ive heard about. Tyler Burley, although not sure if he would, achieved his fundraising goal and I want to congratulate him. As well, a devoted MoSista, Mariah Schubert also met the goal she had set out to reach at the beginning of the month. Have to say, Im extremely proud of everyones efforts this year, and its been great to see how this fundraiser keeps growing to include more and more people. What will next year bring? Ill be honest, probably not a lot. After this year the drawbridge will finally be raised on Another Castle. You can be sure however, that the change can wont be far away come next Movember, and my upper lip with be far from bare. But hey! The party aint over yet this year!
