OFFICIAL VIDEO: DAY 1, WOD 2 – ONCE UPON A TEXAS TRAIN Once Upon a Texas Train was a strength ladder with 10 stations. Starting with a 40kg bar and then increasing at 10kg intervals until the final station at 130kg, all four athletes in a team had 50s between them to successfully clean (M) or deadlift (F) the bar, before a 10s transition to move to the next station. If an athlete failed to complete a successful lift within the allotted time, they were not allowed to lift at any future station. The total volume of weight that could be lifted by all four of a team’s athletes completing a successful lift at all four stations was 3,400kg. Two teams managed to complete the ladder – ‘The Good, The Old and The Ugly’ from CrossFit Cheltenham, and Kratos Nutrition / Dragon CrossFit. The strength ladder was truly inspirational to watch with many athletes achieving lifetime bests for their lifts, smashing their previous marks by significant margins. Did you PB?
