OGUTA DESERVES THE BEST I have always maintained that those we are sending to the legislative arm of government shouldnt be the sidon look types. My ideology embodied in the notion that our leaders/representatives are not different from us; that they remain subject to laws and our collective consent so therefore they must always be there to fight for our right. I have always maintained again that anybody that gonna represent Oguta state constituency must be a steady and occasionally fierce critic of the policies that wont benefit us. Conversely, I have criticized this current almajiri administration for not delivering on its campaign promises and for lacking meaningful strategies or programmes that will better the living standard of Ndi Imo - I do/say this not because I am seduced by the proximity to power but because I want a people oriented government. Oguta deserves the best; well never send to IMHA a follow-follow. We want no other person than a vibrant and selfless Hon. Williams Ejiakor. Bearing in mind that the legislative arm of government is neither for the dumb nor men without pedigree; rather a place where wordsmiths and men of integrity would rise up to chronicle the problems/needs of his people - Oguta people. Hon. Williams Ejiakor is one who understands the problems/needs of Oguta people. The only problem with Hon. Williams Ejiakor is that hes too honest, hes a simple and austere fellow. It is that honesty that propelled progressive minds from the 22 autonomous communities of Oguta LGA to ask him to serve oguta state constituency. I thank God he has heeded to our appeal! Oguta is an oil producing LGA but our people lack basic amenities. This administration sees us as refugees. Communities like Egbuoma, Ossemotor, Nkwassi, Amagu, Umuachisi, Umundanike, Nnebukwu, Abatu, Orsuobodo, etc only see light ones in every 3months. The government has also refused to repair the spoilt transformers in these communities. Whats the essence of being an oil producing community when we dont enjoy its dividend? We lack good drinking water, health care, motorable roads, good schools just because we dont have someone that will drive home our felt needs/demands. No school in the whole of Oguta LGA can boast of a good library or laboratory thats why many parents are sending their wards to Chosen Primary and Secondary School, Mgbidi. Hon. Willaims Ejiakor has come to serve instead of to be served. Im calling on Ndi Oguta to queue behind this selfless servant. We must scream, whisper and shout in one voice! #OgutaDeservesTheBest.
