OH, DARLING!!! Your tale is heartbreaking. This terrific tabby’s former owners sang her accolades when they wrote, “She’s a family pet (who’s) been loved from day one. She is a friendly cat that is obedient, learns quickly and deserves a home with a good owner. She is very loyal and loving.” Delicious two year old Darling was surrendered to the shelter when her family entered a homeless shelter. Even though she was naturally frightened during her initial medical exam, the assessor noted that “Darling is very interested in attention and interaction with her human caretakers. (She) was sleeping at the back of her kennel when approached. Upon waking she vocalized, walked to the front, and began rubbing on the cage bars. When spoken to softly she remained at the front, continuing to solicit attention…. “ Now doesn’t she sound like the purr-fect pet? Darling has lost so much already and tomorrow afternoon, she tends to lose all that’s left—her precious life. We can’t let that happen. Let’s advocate for her.
