OHIO PTA TO HOLD BULLYING TOWN HALL COLUMBUS, Ohio – As part of its annual convention, Ohio PTA will host a bullying town hall from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 25 at the Double Tree Hotel, 175 Hutchinson Avenue. Presenters include Cabot Rae of NBC 4 Columbus, Kenya Haycox of the Ohio School Board Association, Jill Jackson of the Ohio Department of Education, representatives from National PTA, and Ohio school counselors. “Bullying happens in every school, whether public, private, rural, urban, or suburban, and is progressively becoming more pervasive via social media,” said Lisa Mack, Ohio PTA president. “Part of the PTA mission is to be a resource for families and communities, so we are excited to bring awareness to this issue by assembling a panel of experts to share their knowledge and experience to help tackle this ever-growing problem.” The Bullying Town Hall is free and open to the public. The 108th Ohio PTA Convention & Exhibition will be April 25 – 27 at the Double Tree Hotel. The Ohio PTA, a 113-year-old branch of the National PTA, is comprised of nearly 72,000 members in over 500 units. The Ohio PTA was organized in May 1901. The organization works to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.
